What is a hybrid event?

A hybrid event is a proportion of delegates attending a physical event and a proportion accessing the event remotely, speakers accessing the event remotely, or a combination of both. There is a difference between a ‘live stream’ and a true ‘hybrid event’. Where a live stream simply focuses on showing an online audience what is going on at a conference, a hybrid event goes further to bridge the gap between a physical and virtual experience.
