Featuring:

CLOTH

Delivering angular alt-rock with deep electronic grooves, Cloth are twins Rachael and Paul Swinton. Cloth’s second album ‘Secret Measure’ finds the band expanding their creative circle for the first time, turning their tried-and-tested insular working process on its head by collaborating with Bristol producer Ali Chant.

BECKY SIKASA

‘Future Superstar in loading buffermode’ that’s what BBC called Becky Sikasa called her after naming her song ‘Twelve Wooden Boxes’ the Track of the Week. From the very start she has captivated tastemakers and music lovers in in UK and Germany, with a voice as versatile as it is grounded, she delves deep to tie her heart to her words. Trails of vocal harmony weave effortlessly through colourful arrangements to complete explorative, vibrant off-pop tracks.

BEMZ

Bemz is a Glasgow based rapper, who is one of a number of artists helping to further establish Scotland as a bona fide hotbed for black music. Having first fallen in love with music through the usual childhood influences and inspirations, Bemz began experimenting with making his own sounds, primarily as a medium of self-expression. Bemz’ strengths lie in the honesty within his music. He delivers very raw, emotionally charged view of life, which never falls into the cliched trappings that often come with that territory. Truth is his asset.

NO WINDOWS

Edinburgh duo Morgan Morris and singer Verity Slangen make up the two halves of No Windows SAY Award – Sound of Young Scotland Winners. The striking Edinburgh duo sound like nobody else, with raw acumen and industry, and a unique approach, story and style that looks set to strike a note with music fans nationwide. Their tender talents have got a lot of creative miles left in their tank; if their early output is anything to go by, No Windows could be a generational talent. Only time will tell – they’ve got plenty of it.

Assembly Rooms – Ballroom 2pm – 5pm

HANNAH FISHER CEILIDH BAND

The Isle of Mull’s Hannah Fisher & Sorren Maclean are well-known fixtures in the Scottish music scene, working with some of the UK’s most prominent folk and indie artists including Idlewild, King Creosote, Capercaillie, Wolfstone and Mike McGoldrick. Formed exclusively for events reached by ferry, The HF ceilidh band bring their wild west (coast) ceilidh across the water for a rare mainland chance to dance.
