Cheerio to Assembly Festival 2023

View of George street during the festival

The curtains have fallen on a jam-packed programme here in Edinburgh, where Assembly Festival and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe was in all its glory.

This year's festivities transformed the venue into a haven of creativity and laughter, hosting an incredible variety of acts. From hilarious comedies to soul-stirring performances, the stage was a melting pot of talent that left audiences enthralled. We welcomed Scottish comedian Frankie Boyle; award-winning festival performer Chris Dugdale; the smash-hit What girls are made of; illusionist and inventor Kevin Quantum and Irish actor and comedian Ed Byrne, to name just a few. Hollywood star Gerard Butler added an extra layer of buzz and excitement when he surprised everyone by popping in to see a show.

As we bid farewell to this year's Fringe, we raise a toast to the remarkable performers who left us in stitches, moved us to tears and left us in awe of their artistic prowess.

Thank you to everyone who came and supported the Festival. Let's keep celebrating the arts and relishing in the incredible moments they bring. Here's to next year!
