The Church Hill Theatre is a former church (Morningside Free Church 1892) owned and managed by Culture and Sport, City of Edinburgh Council, as one of Scotland’s leading non-professional theatres.

Recently all the public areas of the venue have been extensively refurbished and upgraded this includes the foyer, toilets, café bar area, auditorium and the installation of a new extension which provides lift access to the Auditorium.

In addition to it being a very popular venue in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the Church Hill Theatre hosts many of Edinburgh’s non-professional theatre and dance companies including Lothian Youth Arts, Tempo, Showcase, Edinburgh Music Theatre Company, Leith Theatre, Edinburgh University Footlights, Buckstone Youth Dance, Manor School of Ballet and Edinburgh Dance Academy.
