Our Heritage

Heritage Assembly Rooms

Assembly Rooms Edinburgh officially opened in January 1787 and ever since, the building has been at the heart of special occasions and celebrations in Scotland’s historic capital city, hosting royalty, celebrities and nobility.

Assembly Rooms has continued to evolve with the times, with major extensions, renovations and technological advances, all the while maintaining its impressive Georgian grandeur and first-class hospitality.

We have a fantastic heritage and history here at Assembly Rooms Edinburgh, not only as a significant building of social use, but as part of the historic Edinburgh Old town’s heritage and Edinburgh City as a whole.
