Justin Hayward

The Voice of The Moody Blues

Justin_Hayward_2019.jpg

Sunday 8 September

£49.50

Live Nation , Kennedy Street and One Inch Badge are delighted to announce that legendary singer-songwriter Justin Hayward will be undertaking the intimate ‘All The Way’ tour of the UK in September 2019. The possessor of one of the most recognisable voices in rock, Justin will be performing songs from his acclaimed solo albums – ‘All The Way’ is the name of a recent compilation album - as well as Moody Blues favourites. Support on all dates will come from Mike Dawes.

Justin himself said, “I'm always so thrilled to have the opportunity to tour in the UK, particularly at this time in in my career when no one knows what the future holds. I’m bringing my ‘song writing' guitars from home on the road with me, so the gigs will have the feel and sound of my music room along with the vibe I was feeling as I wrote the songs. I look forward to singing and playing new songs and old songs, particularly Forever Autumn, which I only get to perform in my solo show, and also to tell the real stories behind all the songs and the events that surrounded them at the time. It's a joy to share a stage with such wonderful young and inspiring talents as Mike Dawes (one of a new generation of brilliant young guitar masters - worth the price of admission alone) and Julie Ragins, a truly exceptional musician and singer. She and I have shared stages all over the world for many years, loving the music we play, both with the Moody Blues and solo. I look forward to seeing you on the road”.

As the driving force behind The Moody Blues, Justin penned classics like Nights in White Satin, New Horizons, Question, The Voice and Your Wildest Dreams. Justin’s solo career began in 1977 with Songwriter. In ‘78 Justin had a worldwide hit with the timeless Forever Autumn from the War of the Worlds. His last solo studio album was the critically-acclaimed Spirits of the Western Sky in 2013, his first since 96’s The View From The Hill.

CANCELED

The Wall Live Extravaganza

 The Wall Rescheduled Edinburgh Header

Saturday 21 September

‘Unfortunately, The Wall X team has cancelled all forthcoming dates in UK for 2019 and issued the following statement :

The Wall X has faced tremendous challenges recently due to our USA tour earlier this year. Our US visa work permits were not delivered in time causing the tour to be reorganised three times, routing and re-marketing every single date for each of the three postpones at great personal cost. We find ourselves unable to invest sufficiently in the UK tour to bring you the full Wall X experience you deserve. Instead, our organisation is obliged to go through a restructure phase to get out of deep debt and to be able to soar again.

We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience of this tour cancellation, we hope to be presenting our best version and full vision of this Wall X production for the UK sometime in the future.

We hope you still be there to welcome us in the great United Kingdom. Thanks for your understanding and again, it is totally against heart that we are forced to take this decision.

Fifty years since their earth-shaking debut album, the bloodlines of that hallowed trilogy come together to pay tribute to Cream's legendary four-album reign over the psychedelic frontier of the late 1960s. Kofi BAKER (son of Ginger) and Malcolm BRUCE (son of Jack) unite with Will JOHNS (Eric's nephew by Marriage and son of Zeppelin/ Stones/ Hendrix engineer Andy) to unleash the lightning that electrified a generation. Feel the fire and the freedom of "Spoonful", "Strange Brew", "Sunshine of Your Love", "White Room", "Crossroads" and "Badge" — performed by master musicians whose lives have been steeped in the Cream spirit and legacy.

EXPERIENCE a Once-In-a-lifetime concert salute to the most innovative and explosive supergroup of all time, in the hands of those that knew them best.

My Last Supper with Jay Rayner

 Jay_rayner_text.jpg

7.30pm, Saturday 23 November

From £22

Imagine you are about to die. You have one meal left. What are you going to have?

It’s the question award-winning restaurant critic, MasterChef judge and writer Jay Rayner has been asked most often by audiences across the UK. It happened so often that he decided the time had come to investigate the concept of the last supper and why it intrigues us so. Is it because of the opportunity it presents us with to let your appetites run riot? Or is it because it’s a greedy way in which to tell the story of your own life? And if so, what would a man like Jay Rayner, who for two decades has made a living eating out in restaurants, choose to put on the menu?

In this barnstorming new show, based on his new book, Rayner investigates our fascination with last suppers and tells the stories of the killer dishes that would end up on his table: how he was introduced to oysters by his late mother, how he almost burnt down a hotel because of his love for snails in bubbling garlic butter and of the many ways by which the mighty pig has fed him over the years. Plus, he’ll get the audience to design their own last meal. My Last Supper follows the success of his sell out shows, My Dining Hell and The Ten Food Commandments, which have taken audiences by storm across the UK, Australia, New Zealand and the US.

My Last Supper with Jay Rayner. It’s a show to die for.
